Bryanna had her 15 month appointment yesterday. She weighs 24lbs and is 31.25 inches long. Although she isn't walking yet, the doctor isn't concerned and said he is very happy with her development. He said that she focuses more on talking and her fine motor and mentioned she has the vocabulary of an 18 month old. Her new words are more (mo) when she wants more food, elbow (belbo), bye bye and hi. She is so good at pointing to all her body parts, her new ones are elbow (points and says elbow) and knee.

She woke up with a little red bump below her eye. We were at the playground the night before, so I was nervous that she got something from that but he said it is a stye and it will heal on its own.

She has been such a hugger the past couple of days. Scott and I were in bed the other night with her and she kept going back and forth hugging us. Then when we were at my friends house the other day, Bryanna kept hugging her little boyfriend Ty...she is such a lovable baby!

Every since we have been back she has been obsessed
with her chair - she loves to climb all over it and will just sit in it,
I don't know how this is amusing to her, but it is!

She's been missing her Daddy the past couple of days. All day she will point to the door and say Dada, Dada. Or she will point to his picture and say Dada, so I gave her a little photo book with our pictures in it and she started kissing it...awwww
She likes to push her stroller around on her knees and today
she kept doing circles into the kitchen and into the living room.

We are down to one nap a day. One day last week Bryanna wasn't tired at 10am, then 11am came around and she still wasn't tired, so now I am putting her down around 1pm. She still only naps for 2hrs or less, and struggles around bedtime...I'm hoping she will start taking longer naps, because it is a long day!!! She is waking up later though!

We had a nice visit with Grandpa and Kelly (Lala as Bryanna says). We got some of our Christmas shopping done (yes, we were doing Christmas shopping already, as if it's any of your business! - inside joke LOL). We made some pizza on the grill, which came out AMAZING - I highly recommend making pizza this way - we will never go back to the oven again.

My favorite pic
Ok, this is going to be a long one! Wow, so much has happened in the last month, and I'm sure I am forgetting so many things, but here it goes!

We headed to Bishops Orchards for some Peach picking a few weeks back. It is one of our favorite past times…when we get there, we usually do our picking first, then check out the animals and hit up the grocery store (which is fun to browse around all the unique foods, great produce, baked goods, and maybe do some wine tasting!). It was a fun day and I made some peach crisp when we got home…yummy!

So, I decided in the best interest of our family to drive to central NY to avoid the hurricane that was headed our way. Scott stayed back to “weather” the storm (stubborn man!) – the weather men, news channels, parents and everyone we came in contact with told us to LEAVE the area! Major disaster was expected, but I guess Scott thinks he is psychic and can predict the weather better than the experts. We came to find out that he was kind of right…right in the fact that it wasn’t going to be as bad as expected, but there was still major flooding, trees down and electricity out for 5 days! I stand true to our decision to leave, I don’t know what Bryanna and I would have done without power for 5 days anyway!!!

The original plan was for all of us to head to central NY on September 2nd , Scott would drive back the 6th and I would fly back with Bryanna on the 11th. When I booked the flight, I didn’t even think about it being September 11th (10th year anniversary of Twin Towers) – I would rather NOT fly on that day!  We got to spend some extra time with family and visit with my sister, who lives in Nevada whom we haven’t seen since Christmas! She is 25 weeks pregnant with her first child…so it was nice to be able to spend a little extra time with her as well.

Our two week trip consisted of time in Red Creek, lunch with Grandma Wetzel, visit with Shannon & kids, State Fair with Grandpa and Grandma Neal, Jess, Jake, and Melissa, Grandma and Grandpa Wetzels house for a gathering and back to Red Creek for the remainder of the week.

In Red Creek, we had a nightly dance routine where everyone would sit around the living room and watch Bryanna dance...she loves dancing!

Bryanna loves Grandma and Grandpa Neal's puppies. One of her new words is puppy, which she says very softly for some reason. She also learned how to shush the puppies (putting her finger in her mouth and blowing). Another words she says pretty good is Papa (for Grandpa)...she tries saying Grandma but it turns out baba.

If you even mention puppies, she shushes them! LOL

Loves the puppies!

Bryanna isn't walking yet...she is such a cautious little girl. She seems to get scared very easily, including any animal that is bigger than her. She is actually crawling everywhere now, cruises around the furniture pretty well, and walks with her walker.

Bryanna experienced her first State Fair - a family tradition on the Neal side that we wanted to continue.

I was able to do some maternity pictures of my sister too, so glad I got to take pics for her of such a special time in her life!
