What a beautiful day! Dave & Kelly are here visiting and they got to share one of Bryanna's "firsts" with us...her first beach day! Sun, no clouds, nice breeze and 77˚...you couldn't ask for a better day. Bryanna did pretty good. She slept, cried, ate, pooped and then went back to sleep...overall a great day...and we finally got some sun, only after 10 months!

Bryanna's hair is starting to grow in and it's really dark! The hairs laying on her forehead are new.

We had such a beautiful day today and got to go on 2 walks! We had a good tummy time session today...it lasted 5 minutes! ...much better than a week ago when she would cry instantly when putting her on her tummy.

Not too much going on with us. It was 100 degrees and humid today. The last few days have been pretty hot and humid, well, actually this whole month has been that way...we feel so trapped! For those of you who need their Bryanna fix, here are a few photos I took today. Bryanna is getting more vocal every day. She is 11 lbs. and 22 inches long...she is growing like crazy!

Our little balding baby! Bryanna has a receding hairline. It started about 5 days ago and it is falling out fast. It's funny because it is only in the front, the back is still dark and thick and about 2 inches long!

She is making a lot of different noises now. My favorite is this loud yelp, it's almost like she is yelling at me saying, "look at me!" She will be all quiet and then make that sound, then act all quiet again...it's very cute. She is also starting to whine (big surprise..she does take after her mom!). When she is whining, her lip will get all pouty and it just breaks my heart.

She is starting to smile now - it doesn't happen often, but when it does it's so cute and exciting. I've tried to get it on video but of course she stops when I get the video camera out.

She has upgraded to 3.5 oz of forumla. Over the weekend she was eating 3.5 to 5oz every 2 hrs., we couldn't keep up with her. Today she has settled back into her routine of eating every 3 hrs. which was sooo nice!

We had a fun weekend with Grandma Wetzel and Rick. We went on some nice walks to the beach and they got to see her take her 3rd bath, which she actually liked! They also got to see her smile for the first time at mommy and take her first "swim" in her pool.

I finally finished Bryanna's newborn video. It took a little longer than expected...it would have been easier if I wasn't averaging 3hrs. of sleep every night. I had a lot of fun doing it though! Check it out...don't forget to turn your volume on.

Before Bryanna was born, Scott would joke around and hold some of her dresses. I know I keep saying this, but when you think back at the time, it seemed like it was going to be forever until she was finally here. She is 4 weeks old now and can fit into those dresses!

Grandpa & Grandma Neal, and Great Grandma Neal (GGN) came to visit this weekend. GGN saw Bryanna for the first time! When I was pregnant, every time I would speak to GGN, she would ask me, "is the baby here yet??" This started when I first broke the news of my pregnancy up until the very end. I can't believe Bryanna is 3.5 weeks old and GGN finally got to meet her! She got to see some long cries, some smiles and some finger sucking...so glad GGN got to see her so soon and experience some of her "firsts."


Yesterday was a TOUGH day! Bryanna had another growth spurt. She cried a lot and ate a lot! For one of the feedings, she had her normal 3oz., then she wanted more, so we gave her another ounce. Then, 2hrs. later she wanted more, so we fed her another 3oz. She weighs 9.8 lbs and is 21 3/4" long!!! I hope today is a better day!!

4 Generations
Bryanna found her fingers! When she wants her binky, she will suck on her index and middle finger - it's so cute! Sometimes that doesn't satisfy her so she will stick her whole fist in her mouth. She likes to hold the binky in her mouth with the back of her hand...she still isn't that coordinated and sometimes her hand gets stuck and flings it across the room.

She really likes to stare at this quilt. We have all these toys, play gym and things to hold her attention but she just gravitates toward this quilt. She will just stare at it for 15 min straight...thanks Patty and Joanna!
